Relax, Eat, and Enjoy a Cup of Coffee At Cuddle Cup Cafe

Mornings are never complete without coffee.

Grab a cup on the way to wherever I will be going, brew something at home, or simply visit my fave coffee shop and enjoy a sip or two while people watch are just some of the things I am sure I will not get tired of doing over and over again. Why? Because no matter where or how, drinking coffee is a way of life for me now (Honestly, I do not remember when this addiction of coffee even started. Hehe).

When my family moved back to the South late this year, we sure are missing a lot of coffee shops we frequented in Pampanga. Good thing there’s a new cafe in town that was able to capture our taste and serves excellent pesto pasta, not to mention that this is located just few minutes away from home – Cuddle Cup Cafe.

Make Your Culinary Dream a Reality at Global Culinary & Hospitality Academy

It’s been a while.

How are you? Hope you’re all doing okay.

It has been months since I last posted something on the blog. I know lines like “I am busy” was used, most of the time, by people who’ve been M.I.A. Me? Well, let’s just say that I’ve enjoyed the life of being offline. Less drama, more quality time with the people who matter most, my family.

Speaking of family, mine loves to eat. We like to try new dishes or do food trip especially when going out-of-town. When we’re at home, I make sure to serve their favorite viands. The only challenge for me though, is that I am not quite knowledgeable in preparing desserts. I would normally end up buying cakes and ice cream in nearby store. Since my husband and daughter both have sweet tooth, I would really want to know how to make yummy treats from scratch.

Now, can you imagine my excitement when I received an invite to take a short pastry course at Global Culinary and Hospitality Academy? Hihi!

Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps

Davao is home to the Philippine eagle, mangosteen, and durian. But since 2013, it has also become the home base of Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps considered as one of the best homegrown casual-dining restaurants in Davao.

Diners come in droves to Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps for its unconventional and informal dining style and an interior inspired by the look and feel of a fisherman’s wharf.  A fisherman’s wharf is the place where fisherfolks converge and one of the most famous examples of this is the fishereman’s wharf in San Francisco, California which has been redeveloped into a tourist attraction.

Hansel and Gretel

Last week, my family and I were invited to watch Hansel and Gretel, a recent production of Repertory Philippines. My daughter’s face lit up whenever the actors, especially the kids, sing. At some parts of the play, they even let the audience participate.

When you go to see a Repertory Theater for Young Audiences (RTYA) offering, you are treated to whimsically enchanting costumes, an enjoyable story with value-added life lessons, exuberant music, entrancing sets and lights, enthusiastic performances by excellent actors and an all-around entertaining time! The actors and audiences have so much fun that everything is made to look so simple… so easy.

It is not!

#PRT2016 : Pampanga Restaurant Tour 2016

23-months’ stay (in Pampanga) in a nut shell: Eat, eat, eat, and eat. Hahaha! Kiddin’ aside, Pampanga has been good to my family, and for being true to its reputation – being the country’s culinary capital, eating has been THE #1 activity of ours. And speaking of eating, let me share with you what transpired in the recently concluded Pampanga Restaurant Tour 2016 last July 30-31, (which I’m part of for 2 consecutive years now. Yay!) organized by Pampanga Bloggers Society.

Status Hair Salon is now in Cavite

During my younger years, I’ve maintained a long, straight (sometimes, wavy, when I am having a bad hair hair. But in the past 3 years, I somehow became bolder, (when it comes to hairstyles). I’ve cut my hair short, shaggy, added bangs but never ever let someone color or dye my hair... until I visited a salon, which now has a branch in Cavite... Status Hair Salon.

If you’re following my blog, you will notice that I have been in a couple of restaurants up north and in the Metro. But there is a different kind of high when it is your hometown, you’re exploring.

Last weekend, I was fortunate to be invited by the owners of Champions Sports Bar and Restaurant (Big Shout out to Louise of for organizing the meet-up).

I, together with co-blogger friends who are also Cavite-based, met at the famous fast-food chain located in Pala Pala. Then at around 11 in the morning, we transferred to a different branch (but of the same fast-food chain), this time in Gen. Trias, closer to where we will be having lunch.

Culinary Delight at Bridal Expo Filipino

Hello, June!

June is said to be the most popular month to marry. The word “June” is derived from Juno, the goddess who is the protector of women in all aspects of life, especially in marriage and childbearing. This is why a wedding that falls on this month is considered auspicious.

That being said, I will share with you my experience when I attended the Bridal Expo Filipino held at SM Pampanga. It was organized by one of the respected names in the industry, Mr. Ignacio Caluyo of Philtrade Exhibits.

5 Ways to Bond With Your Kids Before Summer Ends

Summer is about to close as the month of June drums nearer. We have had our little ones at home for almost two months, but have we really made most of our time with them? With the many things that we need to do at home and in the workplace, we often sacrifice time spent with our children. Now is the best opportunity to start creating wonderful memories that they can look back to once the school starts. Whether you want to make up for the days you were too busy or simply cap off the summer on a good note, there’s still activities available for you and your kids to enjoy. Break free from the usual trips to the mall and try these five activities instead.

1.       Watch a theater show!
In a world of video streaming and smartphones, it is rare to see children not glued to their gadgets. Introduce them to other forms of entertainment like live theater. Just make sure that you choose a show that is child-friendly. Look for youthful and energetic productions that also teach golden values through the story. A good example of this is PETA’s MgaKuwento Ni Lola Basyang! The play is like a fairytale book that has come to life as Lola Basyang shares stories of magical spells, kings and their kingdoms. Without a doubt, you’ll enjoy it too!

Looking for a place to dine in San Fernando, Pampanga? Why not try Sab Bistro?

Sab Bistro is the brainchild of a young chef, Chef Saira Yap. From the interior to the food choices, all were conceptualized by her. And speaking of food, according to her, items on their menu are mixture of some of her favorite dishes and acquired recipes while studying abroad.

If you plan on visiting Pampanga any time soon, the best place to buy pasalubong or to try authentic Kapampangan kakanin, I highly suggest Susie’s Cuisine.

PAMPANGA RESTAURANT: Bif's Smoke and Grill

When Chef Will mentioned that Pampanga Bloggers will visit Bif’s, my fellow blogger/friends Resa and Marrien were excited! Why? You may want to visit this link before reading this second post of mine about the said restaurant.

Done reading my previous post about Bif’s? Are you ready for more? You are about to see more mouth-watering dishes from this resto.

Again,you’ve been warned! Hihi!

If there is one thing that will make me truly happy.... it’s chocolate.

When Pampanga Bloggers were invited to try home-cooked goodies of Mother’s Cake House, located in Balibago, Angeles, everyone was ecstatic.

Mother’s Cake House is a family-owned business of Sir Pocholo Flores. Their specialties are mouth-watering desserts, pastries, and cakes.

If I were to choose which Pampanga-based restaurant I want my family and friends to try, I’d say, K Cafe will be one of my top choices. This restaurant is owned by Chef Caren Kwong and is conveniently located at Nepo Quad, Angeles City.

#PETASUMMERPROGRAM 2016 and #3StarsAndASun Experience

Last week, I was thrilled to receive an invite to join the first ever PETA Media and Bloggers Tour.

What is PETA?

“Founded in 1967 by Cecile-Guidote Alvarez, the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) is an organization of creative and critical artist-teacher-cultural workers committed to artistic excellence and a people’s culture that fosters both personal fulfillment and social transformation. Almost, Maine at REP

"Mythical... sometimes fantastical”

These are the words that director Bart Guingona used to describe Repertory Philippines’ new production “Almost, Maine” which opened at the Onstage Theater in Greenbelt 1 last February 19. Set in an imaginary town of Almost in the state of Maine, USA, nine unusual love stories unfold.  Four actors play the different characters of each story.

#LAMUDIPH 2016 Media Appreciation Night

Last Wednesday, I, together with fellow bloggers, attended Lamudi’s Media Kick-Off Party at Prohibition Lounge in Greenbelt 3, Makati.

It started with welcome drinks (non alcoholic, like mango juice). Then they prepared a sumptuous meal for all of us. After that, there’d been a short talk coming from the founders of Lamudi.

What is Lamudi?

REALTALK About That So Called Love (And a Great Place Where You Can #ShareDifferent about Love)

Since it’s the love month, let me share some random thoughts about that so called LOVE. I am no expert. I chose this topic because I do not normally discuss love in detail nor give an opinion about relationships, in general, on my blog or to any of my social media accounts because I am a bit scared that some people might get offended by what I am about to say. This "idea" of sharing different, came from a new found friend of mine, Irene of Veems because according to her - "The Internet and social media are supposed to be places where we can explore our ideas freely in the first place". For the sake to #ShareDifferent, here it is:

Aqtiv Archery: Country's 1st Archery Challenge Maze

30th of January, 2016, was such a memorable day for me. This was when blogger friends and I experienced a day of fun under the sun in Sandbox, Porac, Pampanga.

While residing in Dublin, Ireland, he furthered his skills by enrolling in various culinary courses.

BigBag Fresh: Grocery shopping made easy

As a mom, one of the things that’s taking up my time is grocery shopping. Though we are close to the mall, there are instances that I’d rather stay at home and finish all the household chores or tend to my toddler.

Not Your Typical New Year Post

Happy New Year! (Yup! It's never too late to say Happy New Year).

I know, in a couple of days, January is over. How's your 2016 so far? Hope everything is going well in your life.

As for me, hmm.. My family had a great New Year celebration but days after that, let's just say that it was not a favorable start. But I do not want to dwell on it too much. I know God has bigger plans for me and my family.

And He never fails to amaze me.
