Puerto Princesa Part 1 of 6: A&A Plaza Hotel

Planning a trip was never a breeze. You have to join forums, check reviews online and ask friends that already went there before you could finalize the itinerary that you will follow. For the almost complete list of Puerto Princesa, kindly click here. I've been eyeing on booking a room in A&A. Luckily, Ensogo offered a deal that cannot be resisted.

Trivium:  A&A Plaza Hotel according to our tour guide, was originally planned to be purely a commercial establishment/plaza. Since Tourism in Puerto Princesa's starting to boom, they requested the owners to convert it into a plaza hotel instead.
I had a few difficulties at first because of whether the 699php was a per night/per person basis or per night/per room basis. The vouchers we purchased were for the latter one. Me, being an OC, emailed the hotel and asked for confirmation letter stating that our vouchers were indeed per night per room charge and not per person.
The 3D2N stay comes with buffet breakfast, welcome drinks and RT hotel transfers. Not bad!  When we arrived in Puerto Princesa airport, we were greeted by the hotel's driver.
I presented the printed vouchers and confirmation letter to the frontdesk. I received a confused look at the guy who tried to check us in but good thing the lady immediately snatched the papers and said that she'll do it and gave us our room key card. Their check in time is at 2PM but we were given a go signal at around 10 or 11am. Nice :)
When we went on the third floor and looked at our room, it was a mess. So I asked the housekeeping team who are currently at the hallway to prioritize our room and they obliged. They even offered us to stay in an already cleaned room while waiting for them. awww.. how sweet! :) But we decided to stay in the mini sala on the third floor.

After a few minutes, this is what welcomed us:
Clockwise: TV/Cabinet/Mirror, Cabinet with safety deposit box, sink, small but clean bathroom

Is faux-draped window (refer to picture #3) means having no window at all? Because the one we got does not have any window but it was not a super big deal for us since the aircon's working and they placed an exhaust fan. A not-so good service was the fact that on our 2nd day, we were not given another set of shampoo, soap and bottled water that were present on the 1st day. I contacted frontdesk and even if the one I spoke with sounded very apologetic but ending was, we were no longer entitled of those "complimentary" things because we were voucher users. Ouch!

Let's move on to the good part, shall we? When we went down for our city tour, we saw this :)
Nice! I'm on top of the list :)

Our accommodation comes with buffet breakfast in MJ Cafe at the ground floor. Here's what my plate looked like:
fried rice, eggs, danggit, bacon and beef tapa with mango juice
