Metro Manila Flood

It's been days since Tropical Storm Egay left the Philippines' area of responsibility but another storm struck the country: Falcon. According to news reports, Falcon is the one to blame for it enhanced the southwest monsoon that brings about the continuous rain which resulted to flood in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.

Take a peek on what's happening in our area:
Look at the level of water in our area. Just imagine, Manong is one of the security guards of where we are residing and his height is about 5"10 but the water almost reached his waist. This was taken at around 10pm when I attempted to go out and try if I could report to work.
Filipinos are indeed very resourceful. I saw these guys trying to pass thru this area, being carried by inflated pool, underneath is somewhat a flat Styrofoam and then placed a wooden seat on top. Nice =D

Yesterday, I still saw pedicabs who asked for 70php to 100php per ride and they will drop you off 2 blocks away... just to avoid the flood. But now, I can't seem to find one. According to one of the guards at the lobby, the water level today is higher compared to yesterday.

Residents especially in low-lying area, make sure to take necessary action and listen to news to be updated on the condition of our country.

Pray, Stay Safe and God Bless Us All...

PLDT myDSL’s Internet to Sawa TRANSFORMS my Internet experience from unsatisfactory to FANTABULOUS performance.

In this generation, people from all walks of life pretty much know how to use a computer and internet. I, for one, has been a long time PC and laptop owner but despite my urge to keep track of my online activities, I tend to just shut down my PC because of a very poor internet connection. I am indeed one unsatisfied customer.
But fret no more because I switched to PLDT myDSL Internet to Sawa high speed plan. No more buffering in streaming audio or video from the internet, no long wait time to check and do shout outs on FB and Twitter!! Isn't it great?!

Like this Major Major Transformation, I, too, has been transformed from a regular blogger to NUFFNANGER! Being part of the Nuffnang family helps me become more confident in what I do and enjoy what I'm doing.

In this life, it's not important to dwell on bad experiences but rather what you did to get rid of the negative, what you gain from it and of what you've become... :)

Take the switch! Transform and have a FANTABULOUS experience...

Date Night 7:0 Brooklyn Pizza

A friend from the office once told me that there's a pizza chain in Makati that offers superb pizza. And since hubby and I are running out of pizza establishments to choose from, we gave it try =)
I got their number from munchpunch. Since I'm not familiar with their menu, we opted not to order anything else other than this 14" Porko Junior New Yorker.
Good thing about their prices online: it includes Vat. What you see is what you  pay. hehe! On our receipt, it shows: 437.50php + 52.50php = 490php
Online, it shows: 490php
Toppings: Italian Sausage, Ham, Pepperoni and Bacon

Why choose Porko? It's simply because of it's toppings. Hubby and I enjoyed it... Too bad I discovered just now that they have buffalo wings only for 185php. tsk tsk... But no regrets since the pizza itself was indeed superb! not too salty, not too oily... just perfect!

While munching, we did The Big Bang Theory marathon. Here's an excerpt from wikipedia:
"..the show is centered on five characters: two roommate Caltech geniuses, experimental physicist Leonard Hofstadter and theoretical physicist Sheldon Cooper; their neighbor across the hall Penny, an attractive blonde waitress and aspiring actress; and Leonard and Sheldon's equally geeky and socially awkward co-workers and friends Howard Wolowitz, an Aerospace engineer and a non-PhD from JPL, and Rajesh Koothrappali, a particle astrophysicist postdoc also working at Caltech. The geekiness and intellect of the four guys is contrasted for comic effect with Penny's social skills and common sense."

In each other's arms =p
Love is In the Air:

Hubby and I were given a chance to witness Aunt Vie and Uncle Mal's wedding last May. I know this is long overdue but I can't help but smile just the mere thought of how their big day went =p
Me, Badek and Elai

I'm not going to deny that I'm inlove with the idea of love and weddings. I still shed a tear or two whenever I see two people exchange vows and promise to love only one another.
I know, I know. I'm starting to sound "cheesy" and "boring" but hey, I'm in the mood for La-ha-hav!! =p
Back to Storytelling: After the church ceremony, we went outside to wait for Nay & Tay and I ended up standing between these 2 giants. hehe! [I'm vertically challenged person, I know. Accepted the fact loooong time ago].
We arrived at the reception around 4pm and sat at the table on the far right corner. This gave us a good view of the whole place but realized that we're far from the buffet table. haha! Too bad.. tsk tsk.. =p
While waiting, we were given this large board to write on. Of course, I'm the EA of my hubby and wrote simple wishes to the newly weds.
When all of us were comfortably seated, the emcee called on the groom to present his lovely bride to the crowd. How did he do it? By singing a song =p Me, awed by the silence of the crowd and uncle's voice, didn't even blinked and felt sooo "kilig" the whole time... Kudos Uncle Mal! hehe!

Then after that wonderful number, the emcee called on each table and you know what's next... Food =p

I guess we were so hungry that we failed to take pictures of our food. hehe!
After the eating and laughing, it was time to part ways. Nanay, being a plant/flower-lover posed one last time with flowers (or should I say plants?) on both hands.. hehe!

Just wondering, where's the groom? =p

Congratulations Aunt Vie and Uncle Mal!!
