Date Night 6.0: Sandy's Pizza

The good thing about weekend is that it's an opportunity for me and hubby to bond. Having totally different shifts, we only have a couple of hours each day to see each other. When I come home from work, that's the time that my hubby ready himself to go to work, And when it's time for me to go to work, honey is on his way home. Hay... :(

So you have an idea why I get so excited :) And as a tradition, we ordered pizza and this time it's Sandy's Pizza while watching Season 1 of Bones

I checked their multiply site and found out that the owner is the baby sister of Mr. Gabby Concepcion. Now that explains a lot of celebrities on their photo section, which makes it more interesting :)

On the table:
Sandy's Sampler 14" 520php
Since this is our first time to try their pizza, we agreed on ordering their sampler pizza because you get to try 4 different flavors. Ours was: white pizza, margherita, thai chicken and meatzarella.
If you are in for thin-crust pizzas, then this is a Must Try! Hubby and I had 4 slices each, enough to taste all 4 flavors of this pizza. If I get to choose what is the most flavorful one, then I'd say Thai Chicken. Hubby agreed! :)
 Tangy Buffalo Chicken wings 220php
Then to compliment our pizza cravings, we also ordered their best seller chicken wings. Tangy indeed! It's also perfect for rice :)

Senti Mode On

Every Love Story is unique...

Every Couple has a way of expressing how they feel...

For us, we started as textmates,

Then became friends,

Friendship blooms into something more intense...

As we became an official couple, feelings grew more and more each day...

Then as our 7th year as BF-GF's fast approaching...

We decided to tie the knot...

Now, we are still friends, gimik companions, faithful lovers, husband&wife rolled into one...

Holding each other's hands and enjoying our "happily-ever-after".

For those of you who have your significant other
Try to remember that every second counts
Say you love them everyday
And make them feel how special they are to you...

Let me share you one of my favorite love songs from Train
entitled: Marry Me
Enjoy! :)

Marry Me
Forever can never be long enough for me
Feel like I've had long enough with you
Forget the world now, we won't let them see
But there's one thing left to do

Now that the weight has lifted
Love has surely shifted my way

Marry me today and every day
Marry me if I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe
Say you will, say you will

Together can never be close enough for me
Feel like I am close enough to you
You wear white and I'll wear out the words I love you
And you're beautiful

Now that the wait is over
And love and has finally shown her my way

Marry me today and every day
Marry me if I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe
Say you will, say you will

Promise me you'll always be happy by my side
I promise to sing to you when all the music dies

And marry me today and everyday
Marry me if I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe
Say you will, say you will marry me

Chelsea's Market and Cafe @ Serendra

I've been reading mixed reviews about Chelsea's Market Cafe in Serendra Piazza so Hubby and I were just postponing our plan to go there. But when I saw CashCashPinoy offered 53% off for 1k worth of food purchase in Chelsea's, we gave it a shot.

Yesterday, after church worship, we went directly to Serendra Piazza, only to find out that most of the restaurants there open at around 11am (we arrived there few minutes past 10am) so we looked for a place to "kill" time and saw nearby mall called Market!Market! We ended up watching Source Code

After the movie, we've decided to have an early dinner at Chelsea's Market Cafe. Before ordering, I presented the voucher and a valid government ID to our attendant. Since I've been reading a lot reviews about this place, I'm anticipating for the free focaccia bread with whole baked bulb of garlic but nothing was served. I've been thinking, was it because we're only using a voucher or do they only serve that during lunch? I'm kind of disappointed but still willing to try their food (since we already ordered and paid 470php in advance for the voucher).
The store looked like it came out of US magazine, bright and welcoming. Although I don't have anything against it but I'm more of a minimalist type of person (OC should I say) so seeing their restaurant set up made me feel uneasy (magulo in short, in my opinion).
But I like the tables' set up outside. It's just that we wanted to dine in a more comfortable condition (inside a/c vs dining al fresco) because scorching heat of the sun is still felt at 4:30 in the afternoon.
The back of where we're seating. After few minutes, our dinner's served.

On the table:
Baby Back ribs (half slab) 695php
Note: although it shows in their menu that it is good for sharing, the rice that goes with it is like close to half cup... we ordered extra wild rice pilaf for 80php (1 cup)
watermelon green mango 165php
lime mint soda 120php
nutelle dome cake 310php
FYI: we were fooled...on their menu, it shows "nutella" but on their official receipt, it shows "nutelle". Don't order this because it tasted like the usual chocolate mouse cake :( no hint of nutella... two thumbs down...

The total bill was 1492.33php (voucher costs:470php plus the difference 492.33php) and the total amount that we paid for all in all (voucher + cash) was 962.33php (obviously, who would've given as 67 cents change? hehe!). Well... its worth a try but we'll definitely not gonna go to this place again, (even with or without a voucher).

Afternoon Date @ Market!Market!

We're supposed to have lunch in Chelsea's but since we were sooo hungry, we ate in our usual dining place and all time favorite pizza hut (default orders: garlic shrimp & mushroom, regular bacon cheeseburger supreme pan pizza, mango smoothies and bottomless lemonade for 607.90php total) but this time in their Market!Market! branch.

We spent almost an hour in that place and since we're not that matakaw (still in denial stage..hehe!), we opted not to go to Serendra yet (because eating is the only thing what we could do there) and spend the time roaming around the mall instead.

The last time we were here was way back 2005? when I'm trying to look for a boarding house near my workplace and we got lost so we asked the jeepney driver to drop us off to a nearest mall... that's when we first set foot to this place.

In those 6 years, in my opinion, there'd been a major transformation. Before, it looked more like a warehouse, instead of a mall but now, it got some Ayala-ish vibes and have lots of establishments, from high-end stores to easy-on-the-pocket products/items/stalls.

At the top level is where their cinemas are located. Before Hubby set up the entertainment area in our humble home, we used to be Movie Maniacs and you could see us at least twice a week in SM cinemas. Since the last time that we watched movie inside a cinema was last January The Tourist Hubby and I decided to try out Market!Market! cinema. We agreed on watching Source Code  starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Monaghan.

Before entering the cinema, here's what we ordered (to go):
New York Fries Grande 100php with 2 dips: BBQ & Red Hot Chili Pepper
Taters Combo: 1 large Texan BBQ Popcorn + 2 Drinks 190php

Source Code is said to be an action-thriller which focused on a soldier (Colter Stevens, played by Gyllenhaal) who wakes up in the middle of a train ride with Cristina Warren (played by Monaghan) with no recollection of what happened before he fell asleep. After 8 minutes, he then find himself locked up inside a command center which only he can fit in (you'll find out why when you watch the movie...because it was just a representation of some sort). Basically, the movie is all about him, Stevens, wakes up in a body of an unknown man and as the movie progresses, found out that he is the key in solving the mystery: identity of the bomber of a commuter train.

The movie is okay but we just noticed some boo-boo in the story plot. It was mentioned that the bomber should see both trains to time the explosion but the bomber gets off Glenbrook station and he could only see the smoke that the explosion created from where he's at (there are trees and tall infrastructure between the bomber and trains from where it exploded) Another is that how come a bomb that big passed thru security?! (just wondering)

Here's the trailer (from youtube):

After the movie, we went to our original destination that day: Chelsea's @ Serendra and had an early dinner.

Addicted to Angry Birds

Wanna know my latest addiction?

“Lemme tell ya, these ain’t no ordinary finches we’re talkin’ about. These here are the Angry Birds, the ones that’s gonna kick you in the ‘nads. And they’re the ones on your side. They must be from Galapadapados, or sumptin’.” – Col. Angus, Bird Expert.
The survival of the Angry Birds is at stake. Dish out revenge on the green pigs who stole the Birds’ eggs. Use the unique destructive powers of the Angry Birds to lay waste to the pigs’ fortified castles.

Angry Birds feature hours of gameplay, challenging physics-based castle demolition, and lots of replay value. Each of the 120 levels requires logic, skill, and brute force to crush the enemy.
Protect wildlife or play Angry Birds!

Here's my Story:

One afternoon, hubby installed this application and I got curious as to what kind of game is this, so I tried it. And from that moment on, angry birds and I got inseparable. Just like what happened to me last last year, when I, too, got addicted to Plants vs Zombies :)

Try it and get hooked! =p
